Rigobertos is a wonderful taco shop in San Diego. Open 24/7, there are many nights in which I have been up late and gone to here to get a nice treat. My usual order are the carne asada fries. They are amazing. The portions are huge and although I usually finish them in one sitting, I could definitely see someone spenidng 2 or three meals to finish it. The one gripe I have regarding the food is the salsa cups. To me, they are really small and I wish they were a tiny bit bigger. I enjoy their green salsa. The restaurant is in a small plaza with several other stores surrounding it, but parking is never an issue. There is plenty of parking whenever I have been there. I have never taken the food to-go but it seems like it holds up well. Overall, I would highly recommend going here.

One of my favorite long-time taco shops, especially for the carne asada fries! I used to visit this place since when they were Roberto's taco shop, but they changed it a while back to Rigoberto's Taco Shop. I love the variety of salsa and hot sauces they offer along with limes, pickled carrots, jalapenos, and fresh sliced radishes. My go to here is the carne asada fries, love the crispy fries, abundance of carne asada meat, and the combination of cheeses which look like a mexican cheese blend with possibly queso blanco or queso fresco on top. Carne asada fries include guac and sour cream! Definitely try out all of the sauces. If I eat in store, I take the entire carne asada fries container to the hot sauce bar and put the hot sauce directly into my container instead of the small cups they give you. The burritos are fantastic too, but I love their carne asada fries. The regular carne asada fries are perfect for 2 people. TIP: If you are getting carne asada fries alone, you can always order a half order which I find is perfect for 1 person!

Rolled by for some 3 rolled tacos, a 5 rolled tacos and a carne asada burrito with my friend. We were there around 6 in the evening and it was not crowded at all. The food was delicious.

parking: free and easy to find what we ordered: - half adobada, half asada fries (~$15): the fries were seasoned well, and the meats were flavorful as well! I like the adobada a little more. the best part is they give generous portions. I shared with two other people, and we still had trouble finishing one order main takeaway: great portions, fast service, and it's open 24/7!

This taco shop is open 24/7! We ordered 4 tacos (initially): cabeza, carnitas, carne asada, and pollo. They don't have lengua tacos here. These aren't the tiny overpriced street tacos you might imagine. They're super generous in size, and you'll get full pretty fast. There's a salsa station with 6 different salsas, pickled carrots, radishes, and limes. My carne asada taco came with a hefty scoop of guacamole, and my friend cabeza taco was so good that he ordered another one after his first round. Will be back for another round soon!

Came here by accident but it was an amazing accident! I attempted to go to "the taco stand" since everyone recommended it but I don't know how I got "shop" mixed up with "stand", but oh well! Since I got dropped off here, I might as well try it. It was empty when I came in on a Sunday at 4pm. There were lots of tables open. I like that they're open 24 hours a day. I got the carne asada and cabeza tacos. Both were good, but the cabeza was crispy and juicy! Def my favorite. The tacos had a lot of protein and were very delicious! You can tell it's authentic. I would definitely recommend this place!

Rigioberto's is still the best taco shop in SD. Some may like Roberto's, Alberto's, Rubio's, or other local favorites, but we think Rigioberto's is still better. We tried the carne asada fries on this visit. Never tried them before. They were great. Still not better than the best menu items of the carne asada burrito and rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese, but still very good. The nachos are also very good here. We still recommend staying away from the carnitas options. The fries and nachos are pretty big and a good value for the price. For those who don't eat a lot, you can probably share them. The burrito and rolled tacos (3 or 5) most people should be able to eat alone. For gif eaters get the burrito and 3 rolled tacos and you will be full--5 with a burrito will be too much for most people. The restaurant is in a small strip mall. There are several restaurants in it, but we have never had a problem parking. Some of the employees are still rude, but some are nice. It is hit and miss and just depends who is working. They may get crowded late night, but due to higher take out volume than dine in, we have never seen them busy. We usually eat in the car in the lot anyway or take home. Definitely recommend trying these guys if u have not before. For the best experience, try the items we recommend.
